
A TRIPLE THREAT
WRITER - DIRECTOR - PRODUCER COLIN SLATER has experienced the full spectrum of the entertainment business. As protégée to Harry Saltzman on the Bond films of the early 1970's he spent time in every department: from writing to rigging lights, from location scouting to product placement. Who could forget the opening scene from "The Man With The Golden Gun." At the same time their was the PR agency, 'The Adventurers' that represented Peter O'Toole, Richard Harris, Robert Mitchum, Lauren Bacall along with all of the films produced by Lord Grade.
In 1975 Colin took on publishing and production chores for the Bay City Rollers, at the time the biggest rock and roll band in the world. He produced the first World tour, lasting three years, as well as directing their TV shows. As an aside the Drury Lane production of "Bus Stop."
As the decade came to an end Colin was in the USA . The eighties and nineties where John Denver, Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Wllie Nelson and a segue into film and television. Producing directing cartoons, soap operas some scripted TV and a lot of High budget commercials and the Broadway production of "Sarava."
In the century turned he was directing animated musicals with major voice over talent and owned the studio that produced them Nancy Cartwright, Englebert Humperdinck. "Believe in Santa" played 185 stations in prime time Christmas day 2001 with Paige O'Hara, Mark Hamill and Jack Angel. Dinosaur Island along with The Lost City came along thereafter.
